The Journal of Communication Technology (ISSN 2694-3883, www.joctec.net), the official journal of the Communication Technology division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, welcomes scholarship from a broad range of inquiry. Its mission is to bring together research that fosters discussion and deepens understanding of how communication technologies are transforming not only media processes and content, but also audiences, institutions, and society at large. JoCTEC aims to bridge the gap between scholarly insights and industry applications in communication and information technologies.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, research on strategic communication, science communication, networks, health, politics, history, policy, public relations, management, economics, ethics, minority and underrepresented groups, visual communication, and social media.
JoCTEC is not limited to any particular theoretical or methodological tradition. The journal welcomes research and industry perspectives that contribute to ongoing debates through comparative empirical work as well as conceptual or theoretical analyses.

Submissions that help bridge knowledge gaps between industry and academia are especially encouraged. This special track does not undergo peer review.
For questions and submissions, please contact Editors Hazel Kwon (khkwon@asu.edu) and Sonali Kudva (skudva@methodist.edu).
Book Reviews
JoCTEC welcomes reviews of recently published books relevant to communication and information technologies. Reviews should offer:
A concise summary of the book’s content
A critical evaluation of its contribution to the field
An assessment of its relevance to contemporary research or practice
Reviews should be written in clear academic English, follow APA style, and be no longer than 2,000 words. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and should not have personal or professional ties to the book’s author(s). All submissions will undergo editorial review.
For questions and submissions, please contact Editors Hazel Kwon (khkwon@asu.edu) and Sonali Kudva (skudva@methodist.edu).

JoCTEC welcomes scholarship from a broad range of inquiry. Our mission is to bring together research that fosters discussion and deepens understanding of how communication technologies are transforming media processes and content — and, more broadly, audiences, institutions, and society. We particularly invite proposals with a focus on communication and digital technologies, including but not limited to strategic communication, science communication, networks, health, politics, history, policy, public relations, management, economics, ethics, minority and underrepresented populations, visual communication, and social media.
The journal is open to diverse theoretical and methodological approaches. We welcome comparative empirical studies, conceptual or theoretical work, and industry-informed perspectives. Above all, submissions should be systematic and rigorous in their examination of communication technologies and their impacts, regardless of disciplinary orientation.
To receive full consideration, please complete the proposal template and send it to the editors: Hazel Kwon (khkwon@asu.edu) or Sonali Kudva (skudva@methodist.edu).
